Estimated implementation time: 90–120 minutes
Today’s outcome: You will select one primary offer using a scorecard, create a unique tracking link, calculate realistic traffic requirements, and map your campaign.
Earnings disclaimer: The calculations in this lesson are planning examples, not predictions. Actual conversion, refunds, commission, and traffic cost can differ substantially.
Step 1 — Define one audience and one urgent problem
Broad audiences create vague content. Start narrow enough that a person recognizes themselves immediately.
Complete this statement:
I help [specific type of person] who struggles with [specific problem] understand [desired next step] without [common frustration or risk].
Weak: “I help people make money.”
Stronger: “I help first-time affiliate marketers choose one beginner-friendly offer and build a simple organic promotion plan without buying expensive ad traffic.”
The five-question problem test
Give one point for every yes:
- Does the audience actively talk or search about this problem?
- Is the desired outcome specific enough to describe in one sentence?
- Are people already paying for related solutions?
- Can you produce at least 20 genuinely useful content topics?
- Can you discuss the topic honestly without pretending to have credentials or results you do not have?
Continue only with a score of 4 or 5.
Step 2 — Build a three-offer shortlist
Open the Digistore24 marketplace and shortlist exactly three offers that solve the same or closely related problem.
Digistore24 marketplace workflow
- Switch to Affiliate view and open Marketplace.
- Filter or search by category, product, or vendor.
- Open the detailed marketplace entry.
- Review net earnings per sale, cart conversion information, sales page, and affiliate support page where available.
- Click Promote now only for offers you have meaningfully reviewed. If manual approval is required, record the status.
- Save the offer information in the scorecard.
Marketplace numbers are clues, not guarantees. They reflect other affiliates, traffic sources, geographies, and time periods—not necessarily your campaign.
Step 3 — Audit every sales page
Review each sales page on desktop and mobile. Answer these questions:
Audience and solution
- Is it immediately clear who the product is for?
- Does it solve the same problem your content will discuss?
- Is the mechanism understandable without misleading hype?
Trust and buying experience
- Is the vendor identifiable?
- Are product contents, price, billing terms, and refund terms understandable?
- Does checkout use a secure connection?
- Are support details available?
- Is the mobile experience usable?
Claim risk
- Are the claims plausible and qualified?
- Are testimonials presented as individual experiences rather than typical guarantees?
- Does the page use fake-looking scarcity, unsupported income claims, or pressure tactics?
- Would you feel comfortable sending a friend to this page?
Reject an offer immediately if you would need to mislead people to sell it.
Step 4 — Score the offers
Use worksheets/offer-scorecard.csv. Score each factor from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent), then multiply by the listed weight.
| Factor | Weight | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Audience/problem fit | 25 | Directly solves the exact problem you chose |
| Sales-page trust | 20 | Clear, usable, believable, transparent terms |
| Evidence and claim safety | 15 | Claims you can discuss honestly and support |
| Commission economics | 15 | Reasonable earnings per valid sale, including recurring terms |
| Conversion evidence | 10 | Useful network indicators without obvious quality concerns |
| Refund/billing risk | 10 | Clear policy and no obvious expectation mismatch |
| Affiliate support | 5 | Useful product facts, permitted assets, and contact access |
Choose the highest-scoring offer only if:
- Its total is at least 70 out of 100.
- No trust or compliance red flag is present.
- It matches the audience statement from Step 1.
- You can create helpful content without relying on exaggerated claims.
If no offer passes, change the shortlist—not the scoring standard.
Step 5 — Calculate the road to the target
Start with the commission per valid sale shown for your chosen offer.
Core formulas
- Required sales per day = daily commission target ÷ commission per sale
- Required offer-page clicks = required sales ÷ expected sales conversion rate
- Required bridge visitors = offer-page clicks ÷ expected bridge click-through rate
- Required content views = bridge visitors ÷ expected content click-through rate
Example only
Assume:
- Target: $500 gross commission per day
- Commission: $100 per valid sale
- Offer-page conversion: 2%
- Bridge click-through rate: 40%
- Content click-through rate: 2%
Then:
- $500 ÷ $100 = 5 sales per day
- 5 ÷ 0.02 = 250 offer-page clicks per day
- 250 ÷ 0.40 = 625 bridge visitors per day
- 625 ÷ 0.02 = 31,250 content views per day
The lesson is not that these assumptions will happen. The lesson is that a revenue goal requires enough qualified traffic and conversion. A different commission, conversion rate, or traffic source changes the equation dramatically.
Set three milestones instead of obsessing over $500 immediately:
- First 100 qualified offer-page clicks
- First valid sale
- First repeatable source of sales
Step 6 — Generate and test the affiliate link
Digistore24
- Click Promote now on the chosen marketplace offer.
- If approval is automatic, copy the promolink. If pending, record the request and wait for approval.
- Add a campaign key using your Day 1 naming rule where supported.
- Open the promolink in a private/incognito window.
- Confirm it redirects to the correct product page.
- Save the link and campaign key in the tracker.
Do not place a real order merely to test tracking. Use the network’s supported link checks and reporting guidance.
Step 7 — Draw the one-campaign map
Use this path for Campaign 01:
One traffic channel → one helpful content topic → one bridge page → one primary affiliate offer → one follow-up sequence
Fill in this campaign brief:
- Audience:
- Urgent problem:
- Desired next step:
- Primary channel:
- Chosen offer:
- Why it fits:
- Main objection:
- Proof or evidence you can honestly use:
- Important limitation:
- Digistore24 campaign key:
- Bridge-page promise:
- Primary call to action:
Step 8 — Plan 14 pieces of useful content
Create two ideas in each category:
- Beginner mistakes
- How-to/tutorial
- Tool or method comparison
- Myth versus reality
- Checklist
- Case-study breakdown using disclosed, verifiable information
- Frequently asked question
Use this headline formula:
How to [achieve small outcome] without [common frustration]
Every content item should deliver value before the affiliate call to action.
